Patient Rights

When you apply to a health institution for health care:

1) Benefiting from the service in general: Benefiting from health services within the framework of the principles of Justice and Equity. It has the right to receive services regardless of race, language, religion and sect, gender, philosophical belief, economic and social status.

2) Informing and requesting information: He has the right to learn about all kinds of health services and opportunities and to request all kinds of information about his health status, verbally or in writing.

3) Choosing and changing the health institution and its personnel: He has the right to choose and change the health institution and to benefit from the health services provided in the health facility he has chosen, to learn the identities, duties and titles of the doctors and other health workers who will provide health services.

4) Privacy: They have the right to receive all kinds of health services in an environment suitable for confidentiality.

5) Refusal, suspension and consent: He has the right to refuse the treatment, to ask for it to be stopped, to get his consent in medical interventions and to benefit from the service within the framework of his consent.

6) Security: He has the right to receive health care in a safe environment.

7) Fulfillment of religious duties: The health facility has the right to fulfill its religious duties within the scope of its possibilities and within the framework of the measures taken by the administration.

8) Respect for human values, respect and comfort: Everyone has the right to receive health care in a friendly, gentle and caring environment where all kinds of hygienic conditions are provided and all noisy and disturbing factors are eliminated, with respect, care and attention.

9) Visiting and having a companion: He has the right to accept visitors within the framework of the procedures and principles determined by the health facilities and to have a companion within the limits of the legislation and the health facility and if the physician deems it appropriate.

10) Right of application, complaint and lawsuit: In case of violation of his rights, he has the right to use all kinds of applications, complaints and lawsuits within the framework of the legislation.

PATIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

1.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

1.1. People should do their best to take care of their own health and follow the advice given for a healthy life.

1.2. The person can donate blood or donate organs, if appropriate.

1.3. In simple cases, people have to take care of themselves.

  1. SOCIAL SECURITY STATUS

2.1. Patient; It is obliged to notify changes in health, social security and personal information in a timely manner.

2.2. Patient; health card (Bag-Kur, Green Card, etc.) has to get the visa on time.

  1. INFORMING HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS

3.1. Patient; He should give full and complete information about his complaints, previous illnesses, whether he received any inpatient treatment, the drugs he is currently using, and all his health.

  1. FOLLOWING HOSPITAL RULES

4.1. Patient; should comply with the rules and practices of the health institution to which they apply.

4.1. The patient must comply with the referral chain determined by the Ministry of Health and other social security institutions.

4.2. The patient; It is expected to cooperate with health professionals during the treatment, care and rehabilitation process.

4.3. Patient; If he is using a health facility that provides service by appointment, he must comply with the date and time of the appointment and notify the relevant place of the changes.

4.4. Patient; respect the rights of hospital staff, other patients and visitors.

4.5. Patient; have to pay for the damage caused to the hospital equipment.

  1. FOLLOWING THE RECOMMENDATIONS ABOUT THE TREATMENT

5.1. Patient; He should listen carefully to the advice about treatment and medication and ask about the places he does not understand.

5.2. The patient; In case of inability to comply with the recommendations regarding the treatment, the health worker should be informed.

5.3. The patient should indicate whether he/she understands the health care and post-discharge care plan correctly as expected.

5.4. Patient; He is responsible for the consequences that may arise due to the refusal of the treatment to be applied or the failure to comply with the recommendations.
